She first started recording and releasing covers of songs on her Soundcloud page in 2014, accumulating over 180,000 plays. She started releasing original demos on this platform in late 2015, and released her official single ‘Promises” in January of 2017. Her sound consists of Experimental Alternative, Electronic and R&B influences. She has worked with LA artist, Lilianna Wilde, in writing her first single “Promises”, which she also produced. She has also worked with Wilde on writing future releases for EDM artists. As well, Silver has produced for smaller alternative acts and is currently working on her first EP.

She has been singing ever since she can remember and has always had dreams of becoming a professional musician. Her love of singing brought her to perform at numerous talent shows during her schooling, inspiring her to create her own music for release. She is a multi instrumentalist with guitar, piano, and ukulele under her belt. Her musical influences growing up included the likes of Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, The Mamas & The Papas, and The Turtles. These influences inspired her in developing her writing style, while a more Alternative R&B, Rap influence inspired her production style.

Silver was born in Pensacola, Florida and lived there for a short period before her father reenlisted in the military. She lived in both North Carolina and Washington, before relocating to Cleveland, Ohio where the urban scene in the city would heavily influence the music she was listening to. Silver eventually moved to Southern California when her father was deployed to Afghanistan, in which she turned to writing to cope with the loneliness. After her sophomore year of high school, she dropped out of public schooling and began online schooling. This decision helped her combat with anxiety and ultimately gave her more time to focus on developing her musical style. After graduating early, she began taking courses at UCLA to further her music production skills and turn her passion into a career.

To gain experience, Silver recorded, produced, and mixed an EP for a local artist. In the spring of 2016, she took a Pro Tools course to learn how to use the program for industry standard production. Through these courses and schooling she was able to network and create numerous relationships with LA based artists. She is currently writing and producing her debut EP, and will perform on various collaborative Dance/EDM tracks to be released prior to the EP.

Her echoey, melodic vocals paired with a faint electronic backing beat are the perfect recipe for a haunting and beautiful cover- no matter what the song or genre.

Astrum has a very haunting quality that is vaguely reminiscent of both Halsey and Stevie Nicks.

I wish that I had had these kind of songs with this kind of attitude and advice to listen to when I was going through high school!
